Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Your 3-day adventure will begin with a morning pickup from Dar es Salaam and a drive to Mikumi National Park, located about 5 hours away. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out on your first game drive. Mikumi National Park is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and hippos. During your game drive, you will have a chance to spot some of these majestic animals and take in the beautiful landscape of the park.
Day 2: Mikumi National Park to Udzungwa National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on a scenic drive to Udzungwa National Park, which is about 2 hours away. Udzungwa is known for its lush forests, stunning waterfalls, and unique wildlife. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch before embarking on a guided hike to the Sanje Waterfalls. The hike is about 4 hours round trip and offers breathtaking views of the park and its wildlife.
Day 3: Udzungwa National Park to Dar Es Salaam
After breakfast, you will have a chance to take an early morning birding tour in the park, where you can spot various bird species such as the African green broadbill and the Udzungwa partridge. After the tour, you will return to the lodge for check-out and lunch before departing for Dar Es Salaam.
