5-Day Tanzania Safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Arusha – Tarangire National Park

• Start your adventure with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha.
• Upon arrival, your safari guide will greet you and drive directly to Tarangire National Park.
• Enjoy a full-day game drive in this scenic park, famous for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and vibrant birdlife.
• Stop for a picnic lunch in the park and continue wildlife viewing into the afternoon.
• After your game drive, head to your lodge near Karatu for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park (via Ngorongoro)

• After breakfast, begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
• Enjoy scenic views and wildlife sightings along the way.
• Enter the Serengeti in time for lunch at the camp, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive.
• Explore the vast plains and search for lions, cheetahs, elephants, and the Great Migration (depending on the season).
• Return to your camp for dinner and a night under canvas.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti

• Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when predators are most active.
• Return to camp for a hearty breakfast or take a packed one for a full-day game drive.
• Spend the day exploring different regions of the Serengeti, tracking big cats, herds of wildebeest, and hippo pools.
• Enjoy a bush lunch and continue your adventure across the endless plains.
• Return to camp in the evening to relax and enjoy a beautiful Serengeti sunset.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

• Enjoy a relaxed morning breakfast and a short game drive as you exit Serengeti.
• Travel toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, optionally stopping at a Maasai village for cultural interaction.
• Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim or in Karatu, with time to unwind and enjoy dinner.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Fly Back to Zanzibar

• After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in one of Africa’s best wildlife spots.
• Search for the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as flamingos, hyenas, wildebeest, and more.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool before ascending and heading back to Arusha.
• Board your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, arriving in the early evening.
