SafariBando was founded in 2018 in Moshi, Tanzania — at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. We are a 100% Tanzanian-owned and operated tour company, licensed by the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), registered with the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO), and certified by the Tourist Agents Licensing Authority (TALA).
What began as a small team of local guides has grown into one of Tanzania's leading direct-to-traveler safari operators, with 188+ tour packages across eight African countries and partnerships with 525+ handpicked lodges and camps. Hundreds of travelers from over 40 countries have trusted us with their journeys — many returning for second and third safaris.
💚 No foreign middlemen. No commission markups. Every itinerary is designed by our in-country team and operated by our own guides, drivers, and cooks. The money you spend stays in Tanzania, supporting local families and conservation.
What We Offer
Tanzania Safaris
From the iconic Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater on the Northern Circuit, to the wild, uncrowded Southern Circuit parks of Nyerere (Selous), Mikumi, Ruaha, and Udzungwa Mountains — we run camping, lodge, luxury, fly-in, and family safari packages for every traveler and budget. Tours start from $180 per day for budget camping and go up to $1,200+ per day for private luxury experiences.
Kilimanjaro Climbs
We are based in Moshi, just minutes from the Kilimanjaro park gate, and run climbs on all five major routes — Marangu, Machame, Lemosho, Rongai, and Umbwe — with KPAP-affiliated porter teams and a strong summit success rate. Our guides are licensed by the Kilimanjaro National Park authority and trained in high-altitude first aid.
Zanzibar Beach Holidays
After your safari, we extend your trip to the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar, Mafia, and Pemba — from Stone Town's spice tours to private dhow sunset cruises. Many of our guests combine 5–7 days of safari with 3–5 days of beach.
East Africa Adventures
Beyond Tanzania, we run safaris to Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Bwindi, Volcanoes, and the Mahale and Gombe forests.
Why Travelers Choose SafariBando
Our Cultural & Conservation Commitment
We believe travel should give back. On request, our cultural day tours visit Maasai bomas, Hadzabe and Datoga communities, coffee-growing villages on Kilimanjaro's slopes, and local schools — giving you a deeper window into Tanzanian life while directing tourism income to the communities that host you.
We also partner with local conservation initiatives in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and along the Maasai migration corridors.
