6 Days Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Mara River Crossing

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide.

Transfer to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital, located at the base of Mount Meru. Check in at your hotel and relax after your journey.

Evening safari briefing includes:

Day 2: Arusha -Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park.

Highlights include:

• Lions and leopards
• Giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest

In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire - Central Serengeti (Seronera Area)

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro highlands.

Enjoy spectacular landscapes and Maasai villages along the way. Enter the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate and begin your afternoon game drive in the wildlife-rich Seronera region.

Expect to see:

• Lions resting under acacia trees
• Cheetahs scanning the plains
• Elephants and giraffes
• Large herds of zebras and wildebeest

Day 4: Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti (Mara River)

Early morning game drive in Central Serengeti before heading north toward the Mara River area.

The Northern Serengeti is famous for the dramatic Great Migration river crossings (July–October), when thousands of wildebeest brave crocodile-infested waters.

Afternoon game drive around the Mara River region.

• Nile crocodiles
• Lion prides hunting
• Leopards along riverine forests
• Elephants and buffalo

Day 5: Northern Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early morning game drive in Central Serengeti before heading north toward the Mara River area. The Northern Serengeti is famous for the dramatic Great Migration river crossings (July–October), when thousands of wildebeest brave crocodile-infested waters.

Enjoy wildlife viewing en route as you exit the park and proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive near the crater rim in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Departure

After early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers one of Africa’s highest wildlife densities.

You may encounter:

• Black rhinos
• Lions and hyenas
• Large elephant bulls
• Hippos in freshwater pools
• Large flamingo flocks (seasonal)

After lunch, drive back to Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
