Day 1: Durban to Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge

Upon landing at Durban Airport, you will be transferred to Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge, which will be your home as you explore the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park for the next 3 days. Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is the oldest game reserve in South Africa and is famous for its dense population of rhino. Enjoy a shared afternoon game drive to try to find these beautiful creatures.

Day 2-3: Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge

It's an early start in the morning. Following a cup of coffee, you will head out on the morning game drive searching for animals before they hide away in the heat of the day. When you return to the lodge, you will be able to tuck into a scrumptious English breakfast before having time to relax during the day.

After lunch, you will head out on an evening game drive, in search of the more nocturnal animals. On the evening game drives, it is custom to stop somewhere for bush sundowners before returning to the lodge for dinner. Following dinner, you can grab a drink and relax around the fireplace, swapping stories with the other guests.

Day 4: Hluhluwe-iMfolozi to Ghost Mountain Inn

After a last morning game drive and breakfast, you will be collected and transferred further into the heart of Zululand, to Ghost Mountain Inn, where you will be able to learn more about the culture of the Zulus, as well as enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Jozini.

Day 5: Ghost Mountain Inn

At the foot of the legendary Ghost Mountain in Mkuze, Northern KwaZulu-Natal lies the enchanting Ghost Mountain Inn. This intimate and award-winning hotel is the ideal location from which to explore the game and coastal reserves of Zululand and the Elephant Coast. You have a boat cruise included and a ZAR 400 spa voucher, for some relaxation after the safari. Lake Jozini is stunningly beautiful with the Lebombo mountains in the background.

Day 6: Ghost Mountain to Thonga Beach Lodge

Today, you will be transferred to Thonga Beach Lodge, in isiMangaliso Wetland Park, to spend 3 days relaxing on the beach and enjoying a new array of water-based activities. The Indian Ocean is warm and inviting, and there is an array of activities available at Thonga Beach Lodge to make your stay more enjoyable.

Day 7-8: Thonga Beach Lodge

This beautiful wilderness beach lodge awaits you on the shores of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Situated deep in a wilderness of white beaches, shining corals and freshwater lakes, there lies South Africa's premier beach destination. Welcome to Thonga Beach Lodge, where nature is a sanctuary to be enjoyed. From snorkeling to kayaking, to boat cruises on the lakes, it promises to be a fun-filled destination.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to the airport for your flight home. You can choose to be transferred to Richard's Bay Airport, which is closer, or to Durban Airport, which is further away, but offers more flights.
