Escarpment Luxury Camp Serengeti — Brand New Glass-Walled Luxury at Ikoma

Escarpment Luxury Camp Serengeti opened in March 2024 as the Serengeti extension of the Escarpment Luxury Lodges brand — which started at Lake Manyara in 2011. The camp is at Fort Ikoma Site 10, in the Migration corridor between central and northern Serengeti, on the western approach. Its architectural innovation is the defining feature: tents with a solid canvas wall structure and stackaway glass sliding doors and windows — giving "the safety of a lodge but the look of a canvas tent," according to the brand.

Since everything was brand new at opening in 2024, all furnishings, linen and facilities were pristine — a key guest mention. The VIP room adds a private plunge pool and outdoor shower. Reviews describe exceptional food with "great variety, excellent quality, freshly cooked," a "stunning view in the nature with zebras coming along at breakfast time," and staff named Upendo who provided "sweet surprises." Guests who stayed both in the regular room and VIP room found the VIP "slightly bigger, with an outside shower and small pool."
