The trip starts with a scenic drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere (about 4 hours), where you’ll spend 2 nights at Selous Safari Lodge, enjoying both game drives and a relaxing boat safari. Next, head to Mikumi National Park (6–7 hours’ drive) for incredible game viewing and two nights at Camp Bastian Mikumi. Wrap up the adventure with a day trip to Udzungwa Mountains, famous for rainforest trekking and waterfalls. The parks offer rich wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, zebras, and diverse birdlife.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Nyerere National Park (Rufiji River Boat Safari)
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and driven to Nyerere National Park (approx. 4 hours). Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Kibiti before proceeding to the park. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, check in at Selous Safari Lodge, then enjoy an evening boat safari on the Rufiji River—perfect for spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birds as the sun sets.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, head out with your packed lunch for a full-day game drive in Nyerere. Explore diverse landscapes ranging from wetlands and woodlands to open savannahs. Spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, and possibly African wild dogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your drive. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Nyerere to Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, begin your 6–7 hour scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, with picnic lunch on the way. Arrive in the evening and check in at Camp Bastian Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 5: Day Trip to Udzungwa Mountains (Hiking & Waterfalls)
After breakfast, drive for around 2 hours to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Embark on a guided hike through lush rainforest to Sanje Waterfalls, one of the park’s highlights. Spot monkeys, birds, butterflies, and enjoy the scenic views. After the hike and a packed lunch, return to Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Visit – Return to Dar es Salaam
