Zoi Retreat Hotel Zanzibar is a small picturesque hotel situated right on the beach in the small fishing village of Matemwe on Zanzibar’s north eastern coast. The white coral beach, fine as powder, is ideal for long walks and swimming at high tide. If you prefer a quiet swim in the pool, it is located a few steps from both the beach and your room. The hotel has ten double rooms, with the possibility of adding one or two extra beds and a Family suite (consists of two rooms connected by a shared bathroom). Two rooms have their own private balconies, overlooking the ocean, and most of the other rooms are connected with a large wooden veranda with outdoor furniture.
All our rooms are close to the restaurant, bar and pool with an easy access to the beach. The outdoor area is shaded, with many spots to relax at. Zoi Zanzibar Retreat Hotel has four room categories. All have ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning.

The Restaurant
Meals are served on the large shaded veranda overlooking the beach. The good dining experience is enhanced by warm ocean breeze. The restaurant has dedicated staff who makes an exciting mix of European-inspired cuisine and traditional Tanzanian/Zanzibari dishes of fine ingredients.
The Bar
In the bar, beside the restaurant, there are drinks for every taste – soft drinks, beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails and delicious coffee in various forms. Enjoy the drinks in the bar, by the pool or in any of the relaxing sofas or cushion corners.
