Mara Elatia Camp
Mara Elatia Camp overlooks the Mara River, famous for the annual wildebeest migration between roughly July and September, and faces one of the three Kalema Hills where the epic film βOut of Africaβ was shot. The sophisticated tented camp offers a relaxing escape in the wild, found only at the escarpment.
Rooms
The camp has 16 tents with modern en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, rain showers, and a private balcony.
Dining
The campβs culinary skills are not limited to dining at the camp; guests can enjoy gourmet meals out in the wilderness too. Guests can soak in the Maraβs magical savannah over breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or with a cold cocktail in hand while watching the sun set over the African vista.
Access
The camp can be accessed by air via Wilson Airport in Nairobi, with Safarilink and Air Kenya operating flights into the area.

Mara Elatia Campβs position overlooking the Mara River and facing the escarpment used as a filming location for βOut of Africaβ gives it a distinctive sense of place beyond standard tented camps. Free WiFi, rain showers, and private balconies across all 16 tents add modern comfort, while the July-September timing aligns well with peak migration viewing along the river below.β The SafariBando team
