Mara Sopa Lodge
Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges built in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, which is why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, stretching along the line of the hills, with the large public area buildings and swimming pool at their centre.
Facilities
Sopa Lodges offer a unique experience for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions in the wild, with well-executed service delivery. Rooms are well equipped and include 4 inter-connecting rooms, 1 honeymoon suite, and 12 suites.
Access
The lodge is easily accessible by tarmac road, a roughly 6-hour drive from Nairobi, or by a 1-hour flight from Wilson Airport to Keekorok Airstrip, followed by a 1-hour transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.

As one of the first lodges built in the Masai Mara, Mara Sopa Lodgeโs decades of growth show in its unusually mature gardens and trees, while the traditional round-house architecture gives it a distinctive aesthetic. Its conference and event facilities, combined with its 6-hour road access or 1-hour flight plus transfer from Nairobi, make it a practical choice for both groups and individual travellers.โ The SafariBando team
