Saadani Safari Lodge sits inside Saadani National Park — the only national park in Tanzania where the Indian Ocean meets the East African bush. Here, you can walk on the beach in the morning and watch lion on a game drive in the afternoon. A guest who got engaged here says "the owner Costa went out of his way to make us feel welcome" and calls the Siri Suite "mind blowing." Another review cuts to the essence: "It is all about the bush and the gin and tonics at sunset. We can't wait to go back." The Wami River boat safari passes hippos, crocodiles and excellent birdlife including the stunning kingfisher species of coastal Tanzania. Note: Saadani's game viewing is best in the afternoons and evenings, not as concentrated as inland parks.
