Selous Riverside Safari Camp — On the Rufiji at the Park Border
Selous Riverside Safari Camp is located right on the border of Nyerere National Park with beautiful Rufiji River views and a range of authentic safari experiences. The camp is solar-battery and generator powered — guests note it gets hot and humid in lower seasons; the fan in the room is essential. The camp offers boat safaris on the hippo- and crocodile-rich Rufiji, walking safaris with rangers, and game drives from the park boundary.
A 2025 review describes the camp's appeal clearly: "Good food. Riverside Banda is the choice of the accommodation. It is a camp but the banda provides all you need — private hot shower, comfy double, good mossy nets and a fan. Swimming pool is a welcome addition for post safari cool down. Bar and meal area very comfortable. Staff worked hard to make our experience as good as possible." Guides Obi and Joseph are specifically praised for safari quality.
