Forest Chem Chem — The Most Private Family Camp Near Tarangire

Forest Chem Chem is the most private of the three Chem Chem properties in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Unlike the main Chem Chem Lodge, Forest is exclusively booked as a whole — it accommodates only three tents (for a maximum of six adults and two children) and is never shared with other guests. It is designed as "the perfect family safari camp" with a dedicated guide, personalised activities and the flexibility that only exclusive-use accommodation can provide.

The Burunge WMA position gives Chem Chem's camps access that standard national park lodges cannot match: night drives, walking safaris, game drives into both Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, and wildlife on the camp grounds year-round. The lodge is situated within a wildlife corridor used daily by elephant, giraffe, lion and a wide variety of species moving between the two parks.

Accommodation

Three luxury vintage tents including one family tent — sleeping up to six adults and two children. Each tent has indoor and outdoor showers, en-suite bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries, mosquito nets, standing fans, in-room safe, yoga mat and mini-bar. The main area has a lounge, dining area, outdoor boma for fire-lit dinners, library, and spa. A communal pool is set beneath the trees. The full board rate includes all meals, house drinks, safari activities in the WMA, game drives into the two national parks (park fees additional), transfers from Kuro Airstrip, WiFi and laundry.
