The Olengoti Eco Safari Camp & Cottages are set along the banks of the Talek river placing us in the front seat in one of the most dramatic and exclusive natural shows in the world, “The Great Migration”.Every year, between May and June the heavy rains come and more than 1.5 million wild animals in Tanzania begin the annual migration to reach their sought after final destination, crossing the banks of the Mara River in Kenya. The main living area is furnished with comfortable leather chairs and sofas, floors strewn with cushions and the campfire is candle lit, where guests can relax after a hard day. Visitors at Olengoti Eco Safari Camp can enjoy a personalised service where dinner is served al fresco in an open tented dining room or next to the hippo pool cooked by private chef.
Tents are set under canvas and exquisitely decorated reflecting the old style of first safaris. All tents are equipped with two comfortable queen beds covered by soft mohair blankets, duvet, & 100% percale & cotton sheets. Each tent has en-suite bathroom with shower and a private veranda decorated with two rawhide leather safari chairs.
This area, independent of the safari camp, is made up of six spacious eco cottages with direct views of the Talek River in Masai Mara. The Olengoti Eco eco cottages, powered by solar energy, are formed by a large living area and bedroom, en-suite bathroom and outdoor terrace that allows you to enjoy the starry kenyan nights.
