Jongomero Camp β Southern Ruaha's Most Remote Luxury
Jongomero Camp occupies a unique position in Ruaha National Park β it is "the only camp situated in this area of the park," giving unmatched privacy in the remote southern section far from other lodges. Owned by Laba Laba (the same company operating Siwandu Camp in Nyerere), it sits "superbly isolated right in the heart of the Ruaha National Park on the banks of a seasonal sand river which bears the same name." The camp has its own airstrip just 5 minutes away, served by at least two airlines with connections from Dar es Salaam.
Eight stunning suites spaced along the Jongomero sand river, blending into riverine vegetation near permanent water. Wildlife is attracted to the permanent water source β a 4-night stay yielded lion sightings 5 times and cheetah twice, plus giraffe, zebra, impala, hippos, baboons and vervet monkeys. "Every little detail is beautiful."
