Karibu Mara River Camp
Karibu Mara River Camp sits in the heart of the Northern Serengeti, just 10 minutes from the legendary Mara River β the dramatic backdrop to the annual wildebeest migration crossings. Part of the Karibu Camps & Lodges family, which also operates Lionβs Paw on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, Sametu Camp and Woodlands Camp in the Serengeti, this camp combines proximity to the river crossings with the rich resident wildlife of the surrounding plains, from lions and leopards to giraffes, zebra and gazelle.
Suites
The campβs suites blend opulent comfort with bush positioning. Newer lodges feature outdoor showers, and guests regularly report wildlife β including wildebeest and zebra β passing right outside their rooms at night.
Facilities
The camp has a swimming pool, a lounge and dining area serving curated cuisine, and offers sundowners and bush dining experiences. The Mara River itself, just minutes away, is the stage for the Great Crossing, where wildebeest face Nile crocodiles and patrolling predators.
Location
Located at approximately 1Β°35βS, 34Β°48βE in the Northern Serengeti, around 10 minutes from the Mara River.
