Kokoko Camp, operated by Asilia Africa, is a simple exclusive-use tented camp in the heart of Ruaha National Park, designed as the successor to the former Kwihala Camp (now closed). Asilia describes it as a "comfortable back-to-nature approach, including meals cooked outside over an open fire." The camp's exclusive-use format means your group has the entire camp to yourselves โ a private Ruaha experience with no other guests.
A 2025 review of a multi-camp Asilia itinerary (Kokoko, Sanguine and Roho Ya Selous) describes each as "brilliant โ locations, tents, staff, meals, activities were all top notch. It's a lovely combination of camps." The back-to-nature philosophy means the experience is authentic and unhurried, with the surrounding wilderness taking centre stage.
