Ngorongoro Farm House
Ngorongoro Farm House is a small and exclusive hotel built on a 500-acre working coffee plantation in Karatu, just 5km from the Lolduare gate to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Part of the Tanganyika Wilderness Camps collection (sister property to Tloma Lodge, 15 minutes away), the lodge is built in old colonial farm style with hand-plaited thatched roofs, ample verandas and rustic local-material interiors, facing the Oldeani Volcano.

The property has 51 en-suite rooms spread across three intimate camps: 42 standard rooms, 3 suite rooms and 6 family rooms (2 with interconnecting doors). Room configurations include 17 double-bed rooms, 7 triple rooms and 27 twin-bed rooms, with bungalow-style accommodation overlooking the gardens and coffee plantation, spacious interiors and balconies.
Farm and Facilities
The 500-acre farm includes a 6-acre organic vegetable garden supplying the lodge and sister properties, plus a 15-acre coffee plantation producing fresh coffee roasted on site. The main building has a deck, lounge/bar and restaurant serving homemade cuisine from the farmβs own produce. Facilities include a swimming pool, croquet lawn, massage and wellness centre, and a curio shop.

Guided coffee plantation walks with bean-roasting demonstrations, farm walks, visits to local villages and schools, bird watching, cycling around the plantation, and evening African dance and dinner shows.
