Kisima Ngeda Camp — Lake Eyasi's Unique Cultural and Wilderness Experience
Kisima Ngeda Camp is perched on the shores of Lake Eyasi — a soda lake in the Rift Valley 1.5 hours from Karatu, at the base of the Ngorongoro Highlands. A TripAdvisor reviewer describes it as "a truly special camp on Lake Eyasi, offering a different landscape and a different kind of visit, where we also did two unique activities: fly camping and meeting the Hadza people." Another reviewer notes: "Beautiful view of Lake Eyasi, especially at sunset. The lodge is spotless, super clean and well maintained. Tents are clean and comfortable with great view. Staff is very professional. Owners are on premises."
The two distinctive activities — fly camping in the wild and visiting the Hadzabe (Hadza) people, one of Africa's last hunter-gatherer communities — make Kisima Ngeda a genuinely different Northern Circuit experience.
