Zawadi is a small boutique hotel on Zanzibar’s south-east coast, with just 9 guest rooms dotted along a cliff offering sublime views of the Indian Ocean. The hotel’s elevated, cliffside position sets it apart from the beachfront resorts that line much of this stretch of coast.

Each of the 9 rooms is individually positioned along the cliff to take advantage of ocean views, with private terraces, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.

A small spa and swimming pool sit alongside the clifftop accommodation, with an idyllic beach accessed via steps down from the lodge.

Zawadi sits on Zanzibar’s south-east coast, in the same area as sister properties The Palms and Breezes Beach Club, near Bwejuu and Paje.
