Day 1: Arrival in Kigoma & Chimpanzee Tracking in Gombe

Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport or pick-up from your hotel in Kigoma town, you will be transferred to Kibirizi Port for your scheduled private boat transfer across the magnificent Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park.In the afternoon, embark on your first chimpanzee tracking adventure through the forested slopes of the Gombe Mountains.Along the way, you may encounter other primates including

  • colobus monkeys
  • baboons 
  • red-tailed monkeys.

Day 2: Morning Chimpanzee Trek & Conservation Experience

Begin your day with an early breakfast at Gombe Bandas before setting out for another guided chimpanzee tracking expedition through the valleys of Gombe.Spend up to one hour observing the chimpanzees at a safe distance (minimum 10 meters to prevent disease transmission). Encounter
