3-Day Tanzania Safari to Mikumi from Dar es Salaam (Using SGR Train)

Your journey begins with an early morning hotel pickup at 4:30 am by our experienced driver, who will transfer you to the train station in time for your 6:00 am departure. Upon arrival, our dedicated team will welcome you, provide a brief orientation for your safari, and assist with the boarding process.

At Morogoro Train Station, your guide will be waiting to begin the 2-hour drive to Mikumi National Park. Once there, enjoy a scenic morning game drive followed by a picnic lunch, then continuing with game drive till evening. The day concludes with accommodation check-in, time to relax, and a delightful dinner.

After breakfast, we start on a full-day game drive to spot animals in Mikumi National Park. One of Mikumi's features is that it's stretched across a big plain, so you have the ability to spot a lot of animals. Mikumi National Park hosts lion, elephant, buffalo, impala, zebra and many other wild animals. Enjoy your lunch at the picnic campsites in Mikumi National Park. In the evening, you'll head to the accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your morning with a guided walking safari led by a park ranger. This immersive experience allows you to observe wildlife on foot and learn about animal tracks, plants, and the ecosystem. After the walk, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life. Interact with local Maasai people and enjoy a short cultural performance. After the visit, you’ll depart Mikumi and head to Morogoro Train Station for your train to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, your designated driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel, concluding your memorable 3-day safari experience.
