Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Morogoro by Train – Transfer to Mikumi
In the morning, you’ll take the SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro (about 2.5 hours). Your driver will meet you at the station and drive you to Mikumi National Park. After lunch, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive where you can see elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and more. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi
After breakfast, you’ll spend the whole day exploring Mikumi National Park. You’ll visit areas like the Mkata floodplain, known for lots of animals and open views. You’ll have a picnic lunch in the park and continue the game drive until evening. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit Udzungwa Mountains – Sanje Waterfalls Hike
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park (about 1.5 hours). You’ll hike through the forest to the beautiful Sanje Waterfalls. Along the way, you may see monkeys, birds, and butterflies. You’ll have lunch at the falls, then hike back down and return to Mikumi for the night.

Day 4: Walking Safari & Maasai Village Visit – Return to Dar es Salaam
Start your morning with a guided walking safari led by a park ranger. This immersive experience allows you to observe wildlife on foot and learn about animal tracks, plants, and the ecosystem. After the walk, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life .Interact with local Maasai people and enjoy a short cultural performance. After the visit, you’ll depart Mikumi and head to Morogoro Train Station for your train to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, your designated driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel, concluding your memorable 4-day safari experience.
