3 Days Ruaha National Park Safari from Zanzibar

Day 1: Zanzibar to Ruaha National Park – Into the Wild

Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from Zanzibar Airport for a scenic bush flight to Ruaha National Park.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. This is your first introduction to Ruaha’s untouched wilderness, with chances to see wildlife right away.

After arriving at the lodge/ camp, enjoy lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive exploring the park’s vast landscapes and enjoy a magical African sunset.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Ruaha National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators before the heat of the day sets in. The park offers a mix of savannah, rocky hills, and riverine forest, creating excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

You will visit the famous Great Ruaha River, where animals gather to drink, creating dramatic wildlife encounters throughout the day.

Return to the lodge/ camp for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, go out again for another game drive or enjoy an optional guided walking safari for a closer look at the bush, plants, tracks, and smaller wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Ruaha to Zanzibar – Farewell Safari

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning and a short game drive depending on your flight schedule. This is a final chance to enjoy the beauty of Ruaha and possibly spot any wildlife you may have missed.

Later, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar, carrying unforgettable memories of your safari in Tanzania’s wild south.
