Embark on a 10-day safari adventure through Tanzania and Kenya, exploring some of the most iconic national parks and reserves in East Africa. Start your journey in Tanzania's Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and baobab trees. Continue to the Serengeti National Park, famous for the great wildebeest migration, as well as an abundance of other wildlife.
Next, venture into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa, with its unique ecosystem and diverse wildlife. Crossing the border into Kenya, you'll visit Amboseli National Park, where you'll have the chance to witness majestic elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Finally, your tour will end in Nairobi, Kenya's vibrant capital city, where you can explore the bustling streets and markets or visit the nearby Nairobi National Park. This 9-day safari promises to offer an unforgettable experience, with opportunities to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and other incredible wildlife species in their natural habitats.
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro – Arusha, Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your SafariBando private guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. The remainder of the day is reserved for relaxation after your journey. Enjoy your first experience of Africa in the comfort of your boutique safari lodge.
Your private guide is highly knowledgeable about Tanzania and Kenya, including wildlife, national parks and local cultures. Feel free to ask any questions as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Today you travel to Tarangire National Park, a park covering approximately 2,600 square kilometres and famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.
The Tarangire River attracts a wide variety of wildlife, making the park one of the most rewarding wildlife viewing areas in northern Tanzania. Your guide will explain why elephants gather here in such impressive numbers and take you to the best locations for sightings.

Day 3 – 4: Serengeti National Park including Hot Air Balloon Safari
You continue to the world famous Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti means "endless plains" in the Maasai language, and this landscape truly stretches as far as the eye can see.
The park is home to extraordinary wildlife diversity and is the setting for many nature documentaries. During your game drives you may see wildebeest and zebras migrating across the plains, lions resting on rocky kopjes, leopards in acacia trees and cheetahs hunting in open grasslands.
Other wildlife often seen includes giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, gazelles and many bird species.
One of the highlights of your stay will be a hot air balloon safari, offering a breathtaking aerial view of the Serengeti at sunrise followed by a special bush breakfast.
You will stay in a luxury safari tented camp where you can enjoy evenings surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today you travel toward the remarkable Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is approximately 20 by 20 kilometres and contains one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. On any given day nearly 25,000 large mammals may be found on the crater floor.
This makes it one of the best locations to see members of the Big Five including lions, elephants and buffalo. The crater is also one of the few places where the rare black rhino can sometimes be spotted.
Along the way you may visit Maasai villages or stop at scenic viewpoints across the highlands.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Maasai Cultural Visit – Arusha
After breakfast you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Later you will have the opportunity to visit a Maasai village where you can interact with the local community, learn about their traditional way of life and take photographs. The Maasai are one of the few communities in Tanzania that have preserved many aspects of their traditional culture.
In the afternoon you return to Arusha passing the scenic area near Lake Manyara National Park and the vibrant village of Mto Wa Mbu. Arrival in Arusha will be in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Arusha to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast you depart Arusha and travel to Kenya via the Namanga border crossing to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli lies at the base of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. On clear days the snow-capped summit provides one of the most iconic safari views.
The park is famous for its large elephant herds as well as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalo, hippos and antelopes. Predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards can also sometimes be seen.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
Early morning offers the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro. At sunrise the mountain often appears in spectacular colors with pink snow and deep purple shadows. After breakfast you will check out and enjoy a final game drive in Amboseli National Park before departing for Nairobi.
You will arrive in Nairobi in the evening and be transferred to your hotel located near the famous Giraffe Manor.

Day 9: Full Day Nairobi Wildlife Experience
Today you will visit several of Nairobi’s most important wildlife conservation sites. You begin at the Giraffe Centre where you can see and feed endangered Rothschild giraffes. Next you visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage, famous for rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby elephants.
In the afternoon you explore Nairobi National Park during a game drive where wildlife can be seen roaming freely against the backdrop of the Nairobi skyline. Return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure flight, marking the end of your Tanzania and Kenya safari experience.
