4-Day Fly-In Safari - Serengeti National Park

This safari can begin with a flight from Arusha, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, or Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. We coordinate all local flight logistics as part of your booking, just let us know your preferred starting point.

Most flights land at Seronera Airstrip in Central Serengeti, but it's also possible to land at Kogatende, Lobo or Ndutu airstrips depending on where your specific lodge is located. We'll confirm the right airstrip once your lodge is booked.

No fitness requirement applies, this is a vehicle-based safari throughout, with no walking involved beyond getting in and out of the vehicle.

No sighting can be guaranteed, the migration's exact location within the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem depends on rainfall and varies year to year, generally moving north from around November through July. Your guide will track recent movements and position you as well as possible for the time of year.

The price covers all local flights in and out of the Serengeti, park entry fees, pickup and drop-off at Seronera Airstrip, a lunch box and complimentary bottled water daily, services of an English-speaking driver-guide, transport in an open-roof 4x4 vehicle for game viewing, the driver's salary, allowances and park fees for vehicle and driver, activities as per the itinerary plus a safari hat, and government taxes. Extras such as drinks and telephone calls, international flights, departure tax, tips, visa fees and travel insurance are not included. Lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelle and crocodile are all realistic sightings, alongside over 500 recorded bird species including Eurasian migrants. The Serengeti hosts an estimated 3 million large mammals across its roughly 15,000 square kilometres.

Most nationalities can obtain a Tanzania tourist visa online via the eTA system before travel, or on arrival. The visa costs USD 50 for most nationalities and USD 100 for US citizens. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation is recommended for all safari travelers, and we can arrange membership with the Flying Doctors Service on request.

Accommodation depends on availability, particularly for fly-in itineraries with flexible start dates. We'll confirm your specific lodge once dates are set, booking with reasonable advance notice gives the best chance of securing your preferred option.
