After breakfast, at 9:00am the Stone Town tour takes you through this historic, centuries-old town: the former slave market site (now an Anglican church built in 1871), the town market, the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, the House of Wonders (Beit-Al-Ajab, built in 1883), the Old Arab Fort, the Palace Museum, and the Old Indian Dispensary (now a cultural centre). At 2:30pm, you'll head to Prison Island, home of giant Aldabra tortoises and flanked by a reef sanctuary that's ideal for swimming and snorkeling, returning to Stone Town for dinner.
