Day to Day Itinerary


ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check in, you will have time to relax, followed by a short safari briefing to prepare you for the adventure ahead.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, your safari begins as you journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park.  As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast. This iconic park is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the legendary Big Five

Enjoy your first game drive through the rich plains of the Seronera region, a wildlife haven nourished by the Seronera River. Expect to encounter a variety of animals, from large predators like lions and leopards to graceful herbivores such as impalas and gazelles.

A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the wild.

DAY 2: CENTRAL TO NORTH SERENGETI

Following breakfast, continue your exploration as you journey towards the northern reaches of the Serengeti. The scenery gradually transforms from open grasslands to rolling hills and scattered woodlands, creating a diverse and scenic backdrop

Along the way, you will encounter resident wildlife including zebras, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and antelope species. As you approach the northern Serengeti, the Mara River becomes a key highlight, attracting wildlife and offering incredible photographic opportunities.  Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive.

DAY 3: FULL DAY IN NORTH SERENGETI

Spend a full day exploring the remarkable Northern Serengeti, one of the most dramatic wildlife regions in Africa. This area is best known for the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move in search of greener pastures. The Mara River crossings are among the most breathtaking wildlife spectacles, filled with tension and raw natural beauty.

You will also explore the scenic Lobo Valley, a stunning landscape of rolling hills, woodlands, and granite kopjes. This region supports a high density of predators, making it ideal for spotting lions, leopards, and cheetahs. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, surrounded by untouched wilderness.

DAY 4: NORTH TO CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, begin your journey back towards Central Serengeti. The route takes you through varied landscapes, from the rugged hills of the north to the expansive plains of the Seronera region.

This area is renowned for its year-round wildlife activity and is considered one of the richest ecosystems within the Serengeti. The presence of permanent water sources attracts a wide range of animals, offering exceptional game viewing opportunities. Lion prides are especially prominent here, often seen resting on kopjes or patrolling their territory. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.

DAY 5: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti before departing towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.  As you near the crater, the landscape transforms into scenic highlands, offering stunning and expansive views.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders, formed millions of years ago and now home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. Arriving at the crater rim, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the vast caldera below.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA  

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the crater offers one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in the world. Its enclosed ecosystem supports a dense population of animals, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool, surrounded by serene natural beauty. Later, ascend the crater and return to Arusha, bringing your safari adventure to a close with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife.
