5 Days Ndutu Migration Safari Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater

ARRIVAL DAY

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your professional safari guide, you will then be transferred in comfort to Hotel/lodge in Arusha for relaxation.

Check in the Hotel/lodge, relax and later receive a short safari briefing. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO NDUTU

After an early breakfast, your safari adventure officially begins at 8:00 AM as you depart Arusha towards the Ndutu region. Upon arrival in Ndutu, embark on a half-day game drive.

Ndutu is a prime location for witnessing the annual wildebeest migration, where over 2 million wildebeest and thousands of zebras, gazelles and antelopes traverse the plains. From December to March, the area serves as a fertile calving ground, attracting a variety of predators including lions, cheetahs and leopards.

Enjoy a hearty dinner at your accommodation and rest for the night, ready for a full day of wildlife exploration tomorrow.

DAY 2: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN NDUTU

Today is dedicated to a full day of game viewing in the Ndutu area. Following breakfast, set out on an extended game drive across the plains, observing wildlife in their natural rhythm. You will witness the dramatic calving grounds where vulnerable newborn wildebeest attract predators an unforgettable spectacle of the circle of life.

A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to soak in the tranquility and excitement of the African wilderness. As the sun sets, return to your camp for a delicious dinner and overnight rest.

DAY 3: NDUTU TO CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, begin your journey northwards into the Central Serengeti, one of the most iconic wildlife regions on Earth. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area, is renowned for year-round sightings of the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino and abundant plains game such as impala, giraffe and zebras.

Arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon, relax and enjoy a well-earned dinner. Savor the serene beauty of your surroundings as the African night unfolds.

DAY 4: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

Start your morning with an early breakfast, followed by a short morning game drive in Central Serengeti. Mid-morning, begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater Rim passing through scenic landscapes and occasional wildlife sightings along the way.

The Ngorongoro Crater Rim is one of Africa’s geological marvels, offering panoramic views over the crater floor below. Upon arrival, check into your camp, enjoy a hearty dinner and rest for the night in anticipation of tomorrow’s descent into the crater itself.

DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

Begin your day very early, around 6:30 AM, with a light breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most spectacular natural wonders on Earth. The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, making it a perfect setting to observe Africa’s iconic species in one place.

During this 5-hour game drive, you will have the opportunity to encounter elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos and even the rare black rhino. Your guide will ensure you stop at the best vantage points, such as the Hippo Pool, where you can have your picnic lunch before ascend the crater.

After lunch, you will journey back to Arusha for transfer to your next destination or this will mark the end of your safari.
