Tarangire Simba Lodge — Baobab Camp With Lake Views at Sangaiwe

Tarangire Simba Lodge is a 20-tent classic tented camp located near the Sangaiwe Gate of Tarangire National Park — the western entrance — with unhampered views to Lake Burunge and the Wildlife Management Area between the park and the lake. A giant old baobab tree anchors one corner of the camp, providing shade and the sense of ancient African permanence that only a baobab can deliver. The camp is described consistently by guests as having "a permeating feeling of real Africa."

The accommodation is classic tents under thatch — canvas with wooden floors, glass doors and windows opening onto private decks. Outdoor showers are a signature feature, letting guests wash under the open sky with bush views. An elevated viewing platform allows wildlife observation or al fresco dining above the surrounding WMA terrain. A swimming pool with a large sundeck and a separate bar and lounge complete the facilities.
