3-Day Pilanesberg Malaria-Free Safari Package

Overview

Pilanesberg National Park, also known as Pilanesberg Game Reserve, sits in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province, within easy reach of Johannesburg. Covering 550 square kilometres, it is the fourth-largest park in South Africa, set inside a volcanic crater that erupted 1.3 billion years ago. The reserve was originally owned by three local tribes, and Stone Age and Iron Age sites around the area show evidence of long human presence.

This malaria-free safari is a popular choice for families and travellers who would rather skip malaria precautions, with transfers available from either Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Tour Highlights

  • A malaria-free Big Five reserve within easy reach of Johannesburg or Pretoria

  • A sundowner stop to take in the African sunset before returning to the lodge

Will I see the Big Five at Pilanesberg?
