Tarangire National Park
Pickup from your hotel at 8am for the drive to Tarangire, famous for its diverse landscape spanning nine different vegetation zones. The park is particularly known for its abundance of ancient baobab trees, the largest trees on the continent, dwarfing the animals beneath them. The river running through the park supports a huge range of wildlife, birds, lions, leopards, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, antelope and, of course, elephants, Tarangire holds the largest concentration of elephants in the country, giving a rare chance to observe interactions between elephant families. Lunch is taken at a fascinating observatory site with sweeping views over the river and its wildlife, often with a good chance of watching a hunt unfold. The afternoon continues with a further game drive before heading to your accommodation.
