7-Day Amazing Tanzania Honeymoon Luxury Safari

Overview

This 7-day luxury honeymoon safari covers the full Northern Circuit, Arusha National Park, Tarangire, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, with overnight stays at the finest lodges in each park, all at an affordable price for the experience on offer. Two full days inside the Serengeti give substantial time to track wildlife across the world's most famous savannah ecosystem, and the crater day offers one of the densest concentrations of the Big Five anywhere on Earth.

If you'd prefer a shorter introduction to these same parks, our 3-Day Tanzania Honeymoon Luxury Safari covers Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro in fewer days.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't this tour available to solo travelers?

This itinerary is specifically designed as a honeymoon experience for couples, with romantic lodge selections and a pace built around two people traveling together. If you're traveling alone, ask us about alternative private safari itineraries covering the same parks.

Can this itinerary be shortened or extended?

Yes, this 7-day itinerary is flexible. Let us know if you'd prefer fewer or more days and we'll put together a custom itinerary to match your honeymoon plans and budget.

How fit do I need to be for this safari?

No fitness requirement applies, this is a vehicle-based safari throughout, with no walking required beyond getting in and out of the vehicle at picnic and viewing stops.

What's included in the price?

The price covers park fees for non-residents, all activities unless labeled optional, all accommodation unless listed as an upgrade, a professional driver-guide, all transportation unless labeled optional, all taxes and VAT, meals as specified in the day-by-day itinerary, and drinking water on all days. International flights, roundtrip airport transfer, additional accommodation before or after the tour, tips, personal items (souvenirs, travel insurance, visa fees), and government-imposed tax or park fee increases are not included. See the full "What's included" and "Not included" sections on this page for the complete breakdown.

What animals are we likely to see across this itinerary?

Arusha National Park offers buffalo, flamingo and colobus monkey; Tarangire holds Africa's largest elephant herds plus rare species like the Greater Kudu; the Serengeti is home to lion, leopard, cheetah and (seasonally) the wildebeest migration; the Ngorongoro Crater offers a dense Big Five concentration including black rhino; and Lake Manyara is known for tree-climbing lions and large flamingo flocks.

How does this compare to the 3-day luxury honeymoon safari?

The 3-day version covers Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro, a strong introduction in a shorter window. This 7-day version adds Arusha National Park and two full days in the Serengeti, giving substantially more time and covering the complete Northern Circuit rather than a subset of it.

What about visas and travel insurance?

Most nationalities can obtain a Tanzania tourist visa online via the eTA system before travel, or on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport. The visa costs USD 50 for most nationalities and USD 100 for US citizens. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation is recommended for all safari travelers, and we can arrange membership with the Flying Doctors Service on request.

What if something goes wrong on safari?

SafariBando operates from Moshi with our own vehicles and team. If a vehicle has an issue, our Arusha operations base can dispatch a replacement. All vehicles carry a means of emergency communication, and lodges have radio or phone contact with the operations base. The Flying Doctors Service covers medical evacuation from all parks on this itinerary, and we can arrange membership as part of your booking on request.
