4-Day Tanzania Safari from Zanzibar to Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for your scheduled flight to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Upon arrival at a nearby airstrip (such as Seronera) you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide.

Enjoy your first game drive en route to your camp offering an introduction to the spectacular wildlife and landscapes of the Serengeti. After lunch at the camp depart for an exciting afternoon game drive across the vast Serengeti plains. During the drive, you may encounter a variety of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and possibly cheetahs.

Return to your luxury tented camp in the evening to relax and enjoy a memorable bush dinner, followed by a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Safari

After breakfast enjoy sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park the ideal time to witness predators returning from the hunt and the savannah coming to life. our guide will take you through different regions of the Serengeti depending on seasonal wildlife movements. During migration season you may witness dramatic river crossings while other areas offer exceptional opportunities to spot predators and large herds of plains game.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive until late afternoon. Return to camp in the evening for relaxation sunset views over the plains and a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and begin a scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while enjoying game viewing along the way.  There is an optional stop at a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience (available upon request) where you can learn about the customs and lifestyle of the Maasai people.

Arrive in the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon and check in at your lodge located near the crater rim or in the nearby town of Karatu. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and enjoying dinner while taking in the stunning views of the lush highlands.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Fly Back to Zanziba

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wildlife sanctuaries. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor which is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including the Big Five. You may encounter rare black rhinos, large prides of  

• Lion

• Elephants

• Buffallo 

• Zebras   

• Hyenas 

• Flamingo 

• Hippos.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the scenic hippo pool before continuing your game drive within the crater. In the afternoon ascend from the crater and drive to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
