6 Day Western Corridor Safari Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater

ARRIVAL DAY

You will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.  After check-in, take time to relax and recover from your journey. Later, you will receive a short safari briefing to introduce you to your upcoming safari experience.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, a park well known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

Enjoy a full day game drive through its diverse landscapes, where permanent water sources attract a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.

A picnic lunch will be served within the park, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.

DAY 2: KARATU TO WESTERN SERENGETI (GRUMETI)

After breakfast, continue your journey towards the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, enjoying scenic views and occasional wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival, proceed with an afternoon game drive in the Grumeti area.

This region is famous for its seasonal migration crossings, riverine forests, and open plains. Expect to encounter herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, along with predators in their natural habitat.

DAY 3: FULL DAY IN WESTERN SERENGETI

After breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing across the Western Serengeti. This region is known for its untouched landscapes, offering a more peaceful and authentic safari experience.

Explore areas near the Grumeti River, where wildlife gathers throughout the day. You may encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other plains game, along with predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas moving through their natural habitat. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot in the bush.

DAY 4: WESTERN SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI (SERONERA)

After breakfast, drive towards Central Serengeti, passing through a mix of open plains, acacia woodlands, and rocky kopjes.

Arrive in the Seronera region and enjoy an afternoon game drive in one of the most wildlife-rich areas of the Serengeti. This region is known for year-round sightings of the Big Five and a high concentration of plains game such as giraffes, zebras, and impalas.

DAY 5: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Central Serengeti before departing towards the Ngorongoro Crater.

As you travel, the landscape gradually shifts from open plains to scenic highlands. Upon arrival at the crater rim, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the vast caldera below

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

Start your day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater after a light breakfast. Enjoy a morning game drive in this remarkable natural sanctuary, home to a dense concentration of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

After a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool, ascend the crater and return to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
