Day to Day Itinerary


ARRIVAL DAY

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, you will have time to relax and settle in, followed by a short briefing to introduce you to your upcoming safari experience.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and proceed to Tarangire National Park, a remarkable wildlife sanctuary known for its iconic baobab trees and impressive concentrations of elephants. Upon arrival, embark on a morning game drive through the park’s varied landscapes, which include open grasslands, seasonal wetlands, and the Tarangire River.

These habitats support a rich diversity of wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and various antelope species, as well as numerous bird species. Following a picnic lunch, continue your journey towards Serengeti National Park

DAY 2: KARATU TO WESTERN SERENGETI

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day journey towards Serengeti National Park, heading directly towards its western corridor.

Arrive in the western Serengeti in the afternoon and proceed with a game drive. This region is known for its rich biodiversity, featuring a mix of riverine forests, open grasslands and seasonal migration routes. You may encounter herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as predators such as lions and hyenas that thrive in this environment.

DAY 3: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN WESTERN SERENGETI

After breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration in the western corridor of Serengeti National Park, an area characterized by its diverse ecosystems and dramatic landscapes.

This region is defined by rolling plains, river systems and dense vegetation, creating an ideal habitat for a wide range of species. It plays a crucial role in the annual migration cycle, attracting large herds of wildebeest and zebras as they move in search of fresh grazing.

During your game drive, you may witness predators such as lions and hyenas closely following the migratory herds, while crocodiles can often be seen along riverbanks. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: FULL DAY WESTERN SERENGETI

After breakfast, depart for another full day of exploration in the western corridor of Serengeti National Park, a region distinguished by its exceptional ecological diversity and raw, untouched beauty.

The Western Serengeti plays a vital role in the annual migration cycle, particularly around the Grumeti River, where dramatic river crossings may occur during the migration season. These crossings often attract large Nile crocodiles and present intense wildlife encounters.

DAY 5: WESTERN TO CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, depart to central Serengeti and enjoy a Half day of game drives in the central region of Serengeti National Park, famously known as the Seronera area, where wildlife viewing is exceptional throughout the year.

Depending on the season, vast herds of wildebeest and zebras can be seen crossing the central plains as they move between different parts of the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water. During certain periods, the migration passes through this area, creating dramatic and unforgettable wildlife scenes.

DAY 6: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast, depart from the central region of Serengeti National Park and proceed towards the Ngorongoro.

Enjoy a scenic drive across the vast plains, with occasional wildlife sightings along the way. As you ascend towards the Ngorongoro highlands, the landscape gradually transforms into lush greenery and cooler temperatures, offering a refreshing contrast to the open savannah.

Upon arrival at the crater rim, check in at your camp, the rest of the afternoon is at leisure, allowing you to relax, enjoy the serene surroundings and take in the breathtaking views overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater.

DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

The crater floor offers one of the most concentrated wildlife viewing experiences in Africa. You may encounter large herds of zebras and buffaloes, as well as elephants roaming the plains. The area is also known for sightings of the endangered black rhino. Predators such as lions and hyenas are frequently observed, making for an exciting and rewarding safari.

In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your safari.
