8 Days Wildebeest Migration Safari Tarangire, Ndutu, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or in Arusha, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After arriving in the hotel, you will check in and have time to rest after your journey or enjoy the calm surroundings of the hotel.

Later in the evening, your guide will meet you for a detailed briefing about your safari, explaining what to expect in the coming days. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by a comfortable overnight stay.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will depart from Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, a park well known for its unique landscapes and rich wildlife, your game drive begins, giving you the chance to see large herds of elephants, which are a highlight of this area.

You may encounter giraffes moving slowly across the plains, zebras grazing in groups and predators such as lions resting in shaded areas or leopards hiding in trees.

Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, you will continue exploring, especially near the Tarangire River where many animals gather to drink. Later, you will leave the park and drive your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: JOURNEY TO NDUTU

Upon arrival in Ndutu, you will start a game drive across the open grasslands. This region is part of the Great Migration route and is famous for large numbers of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. Depending on the season, you may also witness intense predator activity, including lions, cheetahs and leopards hunting.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing with the afternoon game drive. As the day comes to an end, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: FULL DAY IN NDUTU

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring Ndutu with a full-day game drive. This area offers excellent wildlife viewing, especially during the migration and calving season when many animals gather in large numbers.

You may see newborn wildebeest, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas taking advantage of the situation. The open plains make it easy to spot wildlife, creating an exciting and rewarding safari experience.

A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to stay out in the field for most of the day. In the late afternoon, you will return to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and another overnight stay.

DAY 4: NDUTU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will leave Ndutu and drive towards Serengeti National Park. The journey itself is part of the adventure, with chances to see wildlife along the way as the landscape opens into vast plains.

Upon entering the Serengeti, you will continue with a game drive as you head towards your camp. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as predators like lions and cheetahs. You will stop for a picnic lunch during the day before continuing your exploration.

In the evening, you will arrive in your camp or lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 5: FULL DAY IN SERENGETI

After breakfast, you will spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park. As you drive through the Serengeti, you will likely encounter thousands of wildebeest moving together, often mixed with zebras and gazelles. There is a high chance of spotting lions, cheetahs and hyenas nearby, following the migration and waiting for opportunities to hunt.

As the day comes to an end, you will return to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and spend night in the heart of the wild.

DAY 6: FULL DAY IN SERENGETI

After breakfast, you will head out again for another full day of game viewing in the Serengeti. This gives you more time to explore different parts of the park and increase your chances of seeing more wildlife such as wildebeest and unique animal behavior.

You may follow predators, observe herds moving across the plains, or simply enjoy the beauty of the landscape. In the evening, you will return in your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 7: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before starting your journey towards Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, there may still be opportunities to see wildlife before leaving the park.

As you reach the crater rim, you will be welcomed by stunning views of the vast caldera below. You will then check in your accommodation where you will have dinner and relax for the evening.

DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater floor is rich in wildlife and offers a great chance to see animals such as lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and even the rare black rhino.

You will spend several hours exploring this unique environment, enjoying close wildlife encounters in a relatively small area. After the game drive, you will ascend back and begin your journey to Arusha. You will arrive in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
