Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is renowned for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which draws giraffes, zebras, lions, and leopards. A picnic lunch is served in the park before afternoon drives near the river.

Activity: Full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch

Accommodation: Lodge or camp near Karatu

Day 3

Karatu to Ndutu

After breakfast, the journey continues to the Ndutu area, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, the first game drive crosses the short-grass plains — the wildebeest calving ground (December to March) and a year-round area of concentrated predator activity.

Distance: Approximately 2 hours from Karatu to Ndutu

Activity: Afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area

Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in the Ndutu area

Meals: Full Board

Day 4

Full Day in Ndutu

A full day in Ndutu. Game drives track the calving herds and the predators that follow — lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Seeing newborn wildebeest calves alongside predator activity creates some of the most dramatic wildlife encounters anywhere in Africa. A picnic lunch is served in the bush.

Activity: Full-day game drives with picnic lunch in the bush

Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in the Ndutu area

Day 5

Distance: Approximately 2 hours from Ndutu to central Serengeti

Activity: En route game drive; afternoon arrival in central Serengeti

Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in central Serengeti

Meals: Full Board

Day 6

Full Day in Central Serengeti

The first of three full days in the Serengeti. The Seronera area is one of the most productive wildlife zones in the park, supported by the permanent water of the Seronera River. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and vast herds of plains game are all reliably encountered. A picnic lunch is served in the field.

Distance: Game drives within Serengeti National Park

Activity: Full-day game drives with picnic lunch

Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in central Serengeti

Day 7

Second Full Day in Central Serengeti

A second full day exploring the central Serengeti. The extra time allows different circuits and follow-up sightings — tracking lion prides across multiple drive sessions, watching cheetah families hunting, or exploring sections of the Seronera River not covered on previous drives. Large herds of wildebeest and zebra provide the constant backdrop.

Distance: Game drives within Serengeti National Park

Activity: Full-day game drives with picnic lunch

Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in central Serengeti
