9 Days wildebeest Migration Safari Tarangire, Ndutu, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha, you will be greeted by your driver guide and transferred to Arusha. The short drive introduces you to the calm atmosphere of northern Tanzania, with views of Arusha Town.

You will check in where you can unwind after your journey. Later in the evening, your guide will walk you through the safari program, giving useful insights about the destinations you will visit. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by a restful overnight stay.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will leave Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park. This park is well known for its impressive baobab trees and large populations of elephants, which can often be seen moving in groups across the dry landscape.

Your game drive will take you through different parts of the park, offering chances to see wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and predators including lions. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline, attracting animals from different areas, making it a perfect spot for wildlife viewing.

You will stop for lunch in a scenic area inside the park, then continue exploring until late afternoon. Afterward, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but diverse park famous for its lush groundwater forest and alkaline lake.

The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, large groups of baboons and a variety of bird species including flamingos. You will spend the day on a game drive, enjoying wildlife sightings in this unique setting.

Lunch will be taken at a picnic site within the park, after which you will continue exploring before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: KARATU TO NDUTU REGION

After breakfast, you will begin your journey towards the Ndutu Area, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will begin a game drive in this rich wildlife area, which forms part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem.

Ndutu is especially active during the migration period, when large herds of wildebeest and zebras gather. Predators are also common here, making every game drive exciting and unpredictable.

You will enjoy lunch in the bush before heading to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: FULL DAY IN NDUTU (MIGRATION EXPERIENCE)

This day is dedicated to exploring Ndutu in detail. After breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive, focusing on tracking the Great Migration.

Depending on the time of year, you may witness thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains, with newborn calves and constant movement across the landscape. This attracts predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas, offering dramatic wildlife encounters.

Lunch will be enjoyed in the field, allowing you to remain close to the action throughout the day. In the late afternoon, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: NDUTU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will travel north towards Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through open plains where wildlife sightings are common along the way.

Upon entering the Serengeti, you will continue with a game drive, encountering various animals that make this park world famous. You will stop for lunch in the bush before proceeding towards your camp.

DAY 7: FULL DAY IN CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, you will spend the day exploring the central part of Serengeti National Park, an area known for consistent wildlife sightings throughout the year.

During this period, many wildebeest herds can be found in this region, especially when they move through central Serengeti in search of grazing. Lunch will be taken in the bush, followed by more game viewing in the afternoon.

You will return to camp/lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 8: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER RIM

After breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive before leaving the Serengeti and heading towards Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

The journey offers more chances to spot wildlife along the way. As you reach the crater rim, you will be rewarded with incredible views overlooking the vast caldera below.

You will check in at your camp/ lodge where you will have dinner and relax for the evening in preparation for the next day.

DAY 9: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA (DEPARTURE)

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. This area is home to a high concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to see elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos and the endangered black rhino.

You will explore the crater floor for several hours and enjoy a picnic lunch near one of the water bodies. Afterward, you will ascend back and begin your return journey to Arusha, marking the end of your safari experience filled with unforgettable wildlife moments.
