Chogela Safari Camp
Chogela Safari Camp is a mid-range tented camp in Tungamalenga village, Iringa Rural District, around 17km from the Msembe gate of Ruaha National Park. Set in a quiet, scenic area not far from Msembe Airstrip, the camp offers a relaxed, budget-friendly base for exploring Tanzaniaβs largest national park.
Rooms
The camp consists of more than 10 spacious permanent cabin tents built in African traditional style, with grass-thatched roofs and local wood, elevated and furnished for comfort. Configurations include single beds for solo travellers, double or twin beds, and family rooming options. Each tent has en-suite facilities with a flush toilet, hot and cold shower, mosquito nets, and wooden chairs and table. A campsite area is also available for travellers with their own tents or vehicles.
Activities
Game drives in Ruaha National Park, guided nature walks and birdwatching around the camp and surrounding area, and evenings around an African bush fire. Staff assist guests with setting up their own tents where relevant and provide hot water for showers each evening.
