Lobo Wildlife Lodge — Northern Serengeti's Kopje-Top Vantage Point

Lobo Wildlife Lodge is one of the most strategically positioned lodges in northern Serengeti — built on a rocky kopje outcrop that offers panoramic views of the vast plains in every direction. Managed by Hoteles Tanzania, the lodge's 76 rooms are designed using natural stone and wood to blend into the kopje formations. The northern Serengeti position makes Lobo one of the best lodges for witnessing the Great Migration between July and October, when massive herds of wildebeest and zebras pass through on their way to the Mara River crossings.

Each room has large windows and a private balcony overlooking the Serengeti, king or twin beds with mosquito netting, and traditional African décor with wooden furnishings. The lodge features an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and soaking tubs. At 76 rooms it is one of the larger northern Serengeti properties, which suits guests who prefer a full-facility lodge over an intimate camp. The 6-7 hour drive from Arusha passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and central Serengeti, providing game-viewing en route.
