Safari Blue: Menai Bay Sailing, Snorkeling and Sandbank Lunch
After an early hotel pickup, the day begins at the fishing village of Fumba on Zanzibar's south coast, where a traditional wooden dhow is waiting. The boat sails through Menai Bay Conservation Area, one of Zanzibar's best-protected marine areas, stopping at two or three snorkeling spots over coral reef rich with tropical fish. Around midday, the boat lands at a sandbank that is fully submerged at high tide and only emerges as the water recedes, where a fresh seafood lunch, grilled on the spot and accompanied by tropical fruit, is served before the return sail to Fumba and the transfer back to your hotel.
