3-Day Nyerere (Selous) Fly-In Safari from Zanzibar

Take a morning flight from Zanzibar to Mtemere Airstrip inside Nyerere National Park, arriving at around 9:30am. Your guide meets you on landing and transfers you to your camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out on a sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River, where hippo, crocodile and abundant birdlife can be observed along the banks as the light fades. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a full breakfast, drive into the vast Nyerere National Park for a full day of game viewing across its diverse and undisturbed wilderness. The park is home to large numbers of elephant and buffalo, prides of lion, giraffe, zebra and impala, and is well known for its population of the rare African wild dog. Enjoy a picnic lunch from a safe vantage point while scanning for wildlife, then continue the afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Return to camp for a full breakfast, then check out and transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for your morning flight back to Zanzibar.
