5 Days Saadani Safari & Beach Experience

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Saadani

Your journey begins with travel from either Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar to Saadani National Park, the only wildlife park in East Africa where the bush meets the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival check in at your lodge and take time to relax and enjoy the tranquil coastal surroundings.

Spend the afternoon unwinding on the beach soaking in the ocean breeze or join a short guided nature walk around the lodge area.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast depart for a full-day game drive through the diverse ecosystems of Saadani National Park. The park features a unique mix of coastal forests open savannah and riverine habitats, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. During the safari keep watch for elephants

•   Lions
•  Giraffes 
•  Buffaloes                 
•  Antelopes and 
•   Variety of bird species.

A bush picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location within the park before continuing your afternoon exploration. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3: Wami River Safari & Cultural Visit

Start the day with a memorable boat safari along the Wami River. This peaceful river excursion provides excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife along the riverbanks.

Later in the day visit a nearby local village for an authentic cultural experience, where you will gain insight into the traditional coastal lifestyle and the rich culture of the Swahili community. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Beach Relaxation & Optional Activities

After breakfast enjoy a leisurely day by the Indian Ocean. Relax on the beach take a refreshing swim or simply unwind while enjoying the peaceful coastal environment. Optional activities may include kayaking guided nature walks or cycling excursions around the area.

In the evening witness a spectacular sunset over the ocean a perfect way to conclude the day.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, begin your return journey to either Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar by road or light aircraft. If returning by road there is an optional stop in the historic coastal town of Bagamoyo known for its rich cultural heritage and historical significance along the Swahili Coast.                                                                                                                             

Your safari experience concludes upon arrival at your final destination.
